BEHIND THE LENS

​

I'm Erin Parkes, a young South Yorkshire photographer.

 

I love people and travelling and finding beauty and interest in the odd and mundane.  I am interested in the secret lives people lead - what individuals show to the outside world vs how they would charactorise their inward personality.

 

Travels to Nashville and New Orleans inspired an interest in photography for me, with all the colourful sights and sounds. So thank you America.

 

I am currently on a year out and am hoping to later study photography at university to continue my learning in the art.

 

I know that I am still very much an amateur and that it is only through learning, practice and making mistakes along the way that I will become better.  I don't believe my passion will falter and I am excited about what the future holds.
